We have just learned that we have won a major award in a very strictly judged competition at the 29th edition of Chardonnay du Monde in France for Reserva Chardonnay Barrique 2018 No.1858, a gold medal and 5th place in the top 10 best rated Chardonnays goes to us in Ratíškovice.
Chardonnay RESERVA Barrique No. 1858 is one of the previously unveiled wines of the series, which completes the slowly expanding family of the RESERVA series. Specifically, this is the so-called "big" white RESERVA, where the wines are trained for 12 months in French barriques and then aged in bottle for at least 24 months.
Over 35 countries participate in this highly respected competition. More than 900 wine samples are evaluated by 300 international expert judges. This is a great award for us, which builds on the success of our Chardonnays. As an example, Chardonnay 2017 Reserva, No. 1722 was included by the experts in the prestigious eleven best white wines of 2020 in all competitions of the prestigious world federation VINOFED. Chardonnay 2017 Reserva was also the best dry white wine at the international Le Mondial des Vins Blancs Strasbourg in 2020.
This particular range is produced in very limited quantities and we have planned to launch these wines in the coming months. The wines will also not be for sale through our e-shop as standard, however due to this success we have decided to release a limited 150 bottles for free sale.
